We are proud to unveil Lumen Pay v3.0, our most significant update since launch. This release focuses on three core pillars: Visibility, Flexibility, and Developer Experience.
1. Enhanced Analytics Dashboard
Data is the lifeblood of any business. Our new dashboard provides real-time insights into your financial health. Key features include:
- Cohort Analysis: Understand customer retention over time.
- Failed Transaction Breakdown: Pinpoint exactly why payments are failing (e.g., insufficient funds vs. bank declines).
- Geographic Heatmaps: See where your customers are paying from.
2. Multi-Currency Wallets
You can now hold balances in multiple currencies (USD, EUR, NGN, KES) simultaneously. This allows you to hedge against currency fluctuation by keeping funds in stable currencies like USD until you are ready to withdraw.
3. Developer API Keys Management
We have overhauled the API settings page. You can now generate restricted API keys with specific scopes (e.g., "Read Only" keys for your accounting software or "Write" keys for your checkout server). This adheres to the principle of least privilege and improves your security posture.
Migration Guide
For existing users, v3.0 is backward compatible. However, to take advantage of the new features, we recommend updating your PHP SDK to version 3.0.1 via Composer.
